This shock absorber uses a damping shim stack specifically developed for its application. The aluminum shock absorber housing creates maximum thermal stability by optimal heat removal. Not only leads this to stable performance but also to a longer lifetime of the shock and its oil. To create the best performance for every model we use high flow pistons, low friction seals, and dedicated shimstacks. We use heavy duty components like microfinished induction hardened quenched&tempered 42CrMo 16mm piston rods, best quality bearings and stainless steel bushings. Every shock can be opened and serviced, or tuned for the customer’s application. For all shocks there is a range of springs from softer than standard till harder.

This shock is the choice for replacing your shock with a high end aftermarket product. It is especially suitable for when you do not need to change your damping in between tracks or when you are not looking for the optimum in damping control. This shock has a large damping adjustment range. Using the rebound adjuster, the damping can be adjusted with approximately 18 clicks. Every clicker adjustment brings a noticeable change in damping level. The rebound adjuster affects rebound damping and compression damping in a natural balance. The spring preload can additionally be adapted by using the supplied Tractive Tool.

This shock has a mixture of nitrogen and oil inside. It has less internal friction than shocks with seperation pistons, but also has a damping that is relatively less stable. These characteristics make this shock a very good and “value for money” option when driving on tarmac roads. The shock absorber is equipped with a so-called PDSII system against bottoming out. It has a 2nd damping piston mounted on top of the main damping piston. At the end of the ingoing shock absorber stroke, this 2nd damping piston enters a cup and creates an extra damping level. This happens only during the ingoing movement and only at high ingoing speeds. It effectivily is a cushion that absorbs the high ingoing energy and prevents a hard bottoming of the shock absorber. This leads to increased comfort and safety. At the same time the bottoming impacts on the motorbike frame are minimised, leading to less bent bolts and damages.

The robustness of the preload adjuster allows to ride in the harshest conditions and highest loads without any issues. The large preload adjustment range of 15 mm (unless otherwise specified) is typically double the stock range and a lot more than almost all aftermarket brands. It allows for load compensation and for optimising the balance in the motorcycle. The PA can be finely adjusted in more than 60 clicks. The hose connection allows for a convenient positioning of the adjuster knob.
